About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, repair, upgrade and perform preventative maintenance on specified Carl Zeiss Meditec instrumentation in a designated field service territory
- Represent Carl Zeiss Meditec at customer locations and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
- Manage company-issued property, including inventory, tools, diagnostic equipment and vehicle, according to company policies
- Diagnose and repair designated products within an assigned service territory
- Perform preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades according to training, manuals and Carl Zeiss Meditec guidelines
- Schedule, create, verify and modify customer visits based on customer needs
- Complete and submit daily field service reports
- Complete and submit weekly expense reports
- Maintain spare parts inventory and return specified spare parts according to policy
- Support revenue growth through promotion and retention of service agreements
- Interface professionally with customers
- Instruct customers on equipment operation and maintenance as needed
- Communicate with team members, customers, management, Sales and Technical Support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service
- BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology and related fields preferred
- A+ and Net+ certification preferred
- Ability to think through difficult customer issues and generate satisfactory customer satisfaction results
- Must be self-directed, able to work independently with limited management oversight
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Must be able to pass required training to service fine mechanics and optics
- Ability to effectively service equipment on which training is completed
- Multiple project and time management skills are required
