About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide assessment and short-term, solution-focused non-medical counseling services
Conduct individual, couples, and group counseling
Ensure referral for appropriate behavioral health follow-up
Conduct intake, screening, assessment, and referral of clients
Work with the client to establish an individual treatment plan
Provide immediate intervention and risk assessment
Report suspected child abuse and domestic abuse/violence to local authorities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum educational qualifications include a master’s degree in counseling accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs
Current, valid and unrestricted clinical license or certification from a state or U.S. territory authorizing independent clinical practice
A minimum of two years’ full-time, post-master’s supervised clinical experience
Experience providing counseling for groups, couples, and/or families
Ability to manage a large clinical caseload while meeting stringent documentation requirements
Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software
