About the role
- Provide one-on-one consultation, education, training, information, referral, advocacy, and crisis intervention services
- Assess client needs during financial crises or critical life transitions
- Develop individualized action plans, coordinate with installation and community resources
- Provide Follow-up support to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with FFSP stakeholders to plan and execute educational programs and supportive services
- Facilitate participation in public awareness campaigns
- Operate as part of a larger system with continual communication with CNIC, Naval Intelligence and military installations
- Provide initial and refresher Command Financial Specialist training
- Support marketing and outreach initiatives to promote awareness and utilization of program services
Requirements
- Candidates must live in Italy or Spain.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s
- Must possess and maintain national certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor
- Two years of experience providing financial education and training, and one-on-one financial counseling.
- Experience making presentations and facilitating training for large and small groups in financial management.
- Experience using various forms of digital technology to facilitate virtual training.
- Knowledge of the military lifestyle and personal financial management issues facing service members and their families.
