About the role
- Conduct individual and couples and group counseling
- Ensure referral for appropriate behavioral health follow-up of any psychological disorders
- Conduct intake, screening, assessment, and referral of clients
- Work with clients to establish individual treatment plans
- Provide immediate intervention and risk assessment
- Report suspected child abuse and domestic abuse/violence to local authorities
- Participate in quarterly quality assurance procedures
- Maintain counseling case documentation
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualifications include a master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or clinical or counseling psychology
- Current, valid and unrestricted clinical license or certification from a state or U.S. territory for independent clinical practice
- A minimum of two years’ full-time, post-master’s supervised clinical experience
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and electronic health records
- Must maintain current clinical credentials and privileges throughout FFSP assignment
- Must be physically located within a reasonable commuting distance of a military installation
