About the role

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple operational and client money accounts in various currencies
  • Perform weekly claims banking reconciliations and post into NetSuite
  • Support the Finance team during month-end close, including preparing account reconciliations and resolving outstanding queries
  • Take ownership of the accounts payable function and prepare weekly payment runs for invoicing
  • Prepare fortnightly expenses payment runs
  • Prepare and set up various internal and external payments in banking portals
  • Manage the non-insurance accounts receivable process and resolve AP & AR queries in a timely manner
  • Create weekly and monthly financial reports for AP & AR functions
  • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks, data entry, and process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across financial records and develop understanding of core finance operations

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts administrator role
  • Comfortable with Excel
  • Ideally familiar with cloud-based finance systems (experience with NetSuite is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams when resolving queries
  • Proactive mindset and eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about technology with a keen interest in AI and automation
  • Ideally experience working in a startup environment
  • Bonus: Currently studying AAT Level 2 or above
