About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate and drive project plans for programs of moderate to significant scope, including novel products or services
  • Lead multiple complex programs simultaneously or manage parts of a larger overarching program
  • Build, document, and communicate project plans using established industry tools, approaches, methodologies, and templates
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to nominate and select core team members
  • Direct project teams across engineering, product management, marketing, and operations
  • Establish, manage, and optimize program timelines and budgets
  • Organize cross-functional activities to complete programs on schedule and within budget
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings and document progress comprehensively
  • Consolidate project-team inputs into program status updates
  • Provide concise status updates to senior management and ensure leader alignment on milestones
  • Balance scope, schedule, and budget trade-offs while maintaining accountability for strategic objectives
  • Anticipate and resolve moderate to significant obstacles, escalating highly complex roadblocks when necessary
  • Use program management methodologies, PMI PMBOK concepts, and project-management tools to design staffing plans, evaluate task dependencies, and develop risk-management plans
  • Support early-stage go-to-market activities and transitions to marketing
  • Coach, mentor, or serve as an escalation point for Level 1 or Level 2 Program Managers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Intermediate to advanced communication and facilitation skills
  • Formal training preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced presentation skills
  • Comfort presenting to mid- to senior-level cross-functional audiences
  • Working knowledge of advanced program-management approaches, tools, and methodologies
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in PC-based documentation tools, including MS Office and MS Project
  • Intermediate to advanced delegation and follow-up skills
  • Working knowledge or experience in the assigned technical business unit, such as hardware, software, or services
