Key responsibilities & impact

Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions.
Maintain the employee database regarding salary and pay, including updates for new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.
Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of payroll transactions within our Human Resources Information System(s) and facilitate routine audits.
Address and resolve employee complaints relating to the payroll system or paycheck issues.
Work on payroll-related audits and projects as they arise.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in Payroll/HR Operations, specifically within a fast-paced environment.
In-depth experience with Paylocity is required for this role.
Strong computer literacy, preferably with Excel wizardry.
Strong knowledge of nationwide tax and wage laws and common fiscal procedures.
Working knowledge of HR functions, including pay and benefits.
Exceptional multitasking skills, high attention to detail, and a compassionate nature when resolving employee issues.
Experience with benefit audits is highly preferred.
