About the role
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for slots, instant-win games, and scratchcards; perform manual testing during development and releases
- Define and evolve test strategies for animations, UI responsiveness, complex game states, and random outcomes
- Collaborate with Game Developers, Game Designers, and Artists in an agile environment
- Maintain structured test documentation: test plans, bug reports, regression checklists
- Execute cross-device and cross-browser testing to validate performance and consistency across platforms
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support certification-related QA tasks (prepare test evidence, assist with audits, especially for Germany)
- Advocate for a player-first quality mindset to prevent critical issues affecting game experience or platform reputation
Requirements
- Practical experience in testing online games, ideally slots, scratchcards, or instant-win mechanics
- iGaming industry experience is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of game testing challenges: randomness, animations, math models, edge-case scenarios
- Familiarity with basic probability and slot game mathematics (RTP, volatility, win frequency) is a strong plus
- Proficiency with Playwright (Python or TypeScript) or similar frontend automation frameworks
- Experience in manual exploratory testing and thinking like a player
- Understanding of QA standards and compliance requirements for regulated markets (e.g., Germany, UK, MGA)
- Strong collaboration skills and proactive mindset
- Fluency in German (must)
- Strong English skills required
- Prior knowledge of certification-related QA tasks is a plus
