About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take hands-on ownership of the systems, devices, accounts, network, and cloud tools
Manage endpoint management across macOS and Windows
Standardize enrollment, configuration, and patching via MDM
Administer user identity and access through single sign-on / identity provider
Manage office network and security stack including firewall policy, VLAN segmentation, and enterprise Wi-Fi
Provision cloud and virtual-desktop resources for technical teams
Backup critical company data and ensure its recoverability
Collaborate with the Head of IT on initiatives for a resilient startup

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator role, or equivalent
Fluent with MDM software for managing a cross-platform (macOS and Windows) device fleet
Experience with cloud identity provider / SSO, including MFA, SAML and SCIM integrations
Proficient in troubleshooting next-generation firewalls and enterprise networks
Familiarity with public cloud (IaaS) resources administration
Ability to automate routine administration using a scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
Security-minded, with a habit of considering backup, recovery, and vendor risk
Self-directed approach to problem-solving
