About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Improve the geochemical data ecosystem at Zanskar, including automating steps of the data ingestion workflow
- Building data pipelines where needed
- Designing visual data displays
- Developing machine learning models leveraging geochemical data to uncover hidden geothermal systems and drive real-world exploration decisions
- Close collaboration with research, engineering, geoscience, land, and field teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years professional experience in data science, geochemistry, or chemistry, including graduate level work experience.
- Proven experience applying data science in the domains of geochemistry, chemistry, physics, remote sensing, or spectroscopy
- Proven ability to find innovative solutions to mathematically and scientifically complex problems under ambiguity
- Expertise in modern machine learning and statistics, including supervised and unsupervised methods
- Fluency in Python.
- Familiarity with SQL, GitHub, Docker, and cloud environments is a plus.
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively with engineers, domain experts, and non-technical stakeholders
