Backend Engineer

• Support, manage, inspire and grow a diverse team of 6 data and software engineers while ensuring smooth delivery and continuous improvements to business critical systems
• Ensure operational excellence of the services that are at the core of Zalando's vision of having industry leading product information available
• Manage dependencies, work closely with the product and applied science counterparts on solution planning, design and implementation
• Contribute to the overall department priorities, spearhead the documentation and learnings from incidents
• Ensure system-reliability engineering and technical compliance

Backend/Data Engineering Manager – Product Data Quality

User Researcher

• Develop and oversee a verified internal panel of participants for continuous research activities.
• Manage and enhance our research tools, such as Great Question and various survey platforms.
• Create and uphold internal systems, templates, and guides to facilitate self-service research for our teams.
• Establish efficient workflows for survey deployment, handling incentives, and screening participants.
• Plan and execute both generative and evaluative research studies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Translate research findings into clear, compelling insights that inform strategic decisions and product development.
• Collaborate closely with another researcher who is focused on discovery work, ensuring that together you cover both the depth and scale of research needs.
