About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test strategies and test cases.
  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests for web applications and APIs.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks and test suites (UI/API).
  • Perform detailed regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing to ensure software quality across releases.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, and work closely with developers for resolution.
  • Support the release process by validating builds, conducting smoke tests, and participating in go/no-go decisions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive QA documentation including test plans, test cases, and reports.
  • Review and provide feedback on test coverage, automation approach, and code quality for peers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies in the QA process and suggesting tools or practices to enhance team productivity.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–6 years of experience in software quality assurance with hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with testing APIs (e.g., using Postman, REST-assured) and understanding of backend/front-end testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to identifying issues.
  • Comfortable with version control systems such as Git.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally and drive quality conversations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
