About the role

  • Design and implement backend systems that connect and integrate with customer environments
  • Identify, collect and model data from large-scale environments
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in backend development
  • Develop reliable production-grade code which will run side-by-side with customer applications at scale
  • Explore and evaluate cutting-edge programming languages and frameworks
  • Collaborate with the product team to create a seamless integration and onboarding process for customers
  • Design workflows and features to make customer experience smooth and efficient
  • Develop key components in the company’s architecture supporting complex present and future use-cases
  • Develop concurrently at immense scale, handling billions of requests for hundreds of customers daily
  • Lead major changes, take initiative and influence the product’s technical and business growth
  • Guide R&D through platform evolution, advising and influencing across scopes
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for code through development, testing, rollout and scale-up

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with languages such as Golang, Python, Java, or C/C++
  • The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies as needed
  • Strong problem-solving, sense of ownership and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Familiarity with Cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, or Azure is an advantage
  • Strong experience with operating systems internals is an advantage
  • 5+ years of experience, in at least 2 positions
  • Mentality of a team player, with a capability to see the big picture, and use it to focus on critical detail
  • Capability and will to take responsibility and have a deep influence
  • Experience with backend and microservice patterns
  • Experience with Go (Golang) & SQL
  • Experience with high-scale & high-concurrency
  • Experience with leadership positions (Team Lead, Tech Lead, etc.)
