About the role
- Serve as the vendor manager for all technology platforms related to employee benefits, leading vendor calls and managing resolution of open items.
- Stay abreast of product releases, system enhancements and functionality; serve as a lead for RFPs and outline scope of services for new products.
- Lead team education related to technology and serve as subject matter expert and point of contact for benefit technology for all stakeholders.
- Maintain a continuous process improvement mindset and collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to support business needs and strategic goals.
- Measure and report on benefits-related data and support strategic decision-making through data visualization (e.g., dashboards, graphs).
- Oversee and recommend data configuration changes to support changing needs of the organization’s benefit programs.
- Serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation, changes and enhancements to benefits systems.
- Maintain documentation of complex benefit structures, processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree
- Minimum: 5 years of related program management experience with a focus on benefit operations and/or software systems
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities.
- Solutions-oriented approach to issues and challenges.
- Ability to work with confidential information and demonstrate an objective mindset.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
- Preferred: Previous experience working with managers and with cross-functional teams to establish strategic plans and objectives.
- Preferred: Experience in leading project teams of various sizes through all stages to successful implementation.
- Preferred: Experience managing vendor relations, specifically with third-party benefits enrollment platforms or other technology vendors.
- Physical demands: Required to view a computer monitor for long periods of time with breaks in-between.
- Physical demands: May be required to carry, lift or move objects up to 25lbs.
- Physical demands: Office-based work environment; may occasionally visit job sites or other office locations.
