Key responsibilities & impact

Own the vision, roadmap, and day‑to‑day stewardship of the Pizza Hut design system in collaboration with Pizza Hut design and product leadership, and BYTE teams.
Ensure system foundations, components, and patterns are high quality, scalable, and well documented.
Advocate for consistency and reuse across digital products while supporting evolving product needs.
Measure and improve system adoption, usability, and effectiveness.
Treat the design system as a product, with clear goals, priorities, and outcomes.
Partner with leadership, product managers and BYTE to align system investments with business and product roadmaps.
Balance short‑term delivery needs with long‑term system health.
Define standards and best practices that support speed and quality across teams.
Work closely with engineering partners and BYTE to design and deliver production‑ready components.
Collaborate on component APIs, implementation patterns, and release processes.
Support development teams by clarifying usage, resolving implementation questions, and identifying system gaps.
Champion accessibility, performance, and quality throughout design and implementation.
In collaboration with Pizza Hut design leadership and BYTE partners, help shape and maintain contribution models, review processes, and decision‑making frameworks for the system.
Educate and enable designers and developers on how to effectively use and contribute to the system.
Promote system thinking and shared ownership across design, product, and engineering.
Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, tooling, and documentation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience in UX design, design systems, or platform‑focused product design.
Demonstrated experience owning or significantly contributing to a design system at scale.
Strong understanding of component‑based design, design tokens, and modern front‑end architectures.
Experience collaborating deeply with engineering teams to deliver reusable, production‑ready solutions.
Product mindset with the ability to prioritize work and make informed tradeoffs.
Deep knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to influence without authority.
Proficiency with design tools such as Figma; familiarity with design system documentation tools is a plus.
