About the role
- Lead a team of designers and architects to create innovative and functional restaurant designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design concepts align with brand strategy and customer expectations.
- Oversee the development of design guidelines and standards, ensuring consistency across all restaurant units.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform design decisions.
- Manage the design process from concept to completion, including site selection, space planning, and construction.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and building codes during the design and construction phases.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop visually appealing and brand-aligned restaurant interiors.
- Mentor and develop junior designers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including architects and contractors.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and materials to incorporate sustainable and innovative design solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in restaurant or retail design, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent knowledge of design principles, trends, and best practices in the restaurant industry.
- Proficiency in design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a creative approach to design challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Flexibility to travel as required for site visits and project management.
