About the role
- Lead and mentor a team of 5 sales professionals, providing guidance and support to drive individual and team performance.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve short-term and long-term revenue goals.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting on sales performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and product development, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities, identifying potential threats and opportunities.
- Provide regular performance feedback to team members, conducting performance evaluations and offering development opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, promoting the brand and establishing new connections.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining high ethical standards in all sales activities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a sales management role, preferably in the food industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and mentoring sales teams, with a history of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales analytics tools to track and analyze sales performance.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, as required by the nature of the role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
