About the role

  • Develop, oversee and direct the implementation of the Youth Guidance Dallas annual development plan and fundraising goals.
  • Monitor fundraising results and report progress.
  • Partner with key champions to leverage networks for connections.
  • Manage a portfolio of foundation, corporate and individual prospects and donors.
  • Oversee government relations and advocacy strategy.
  • Manage the Dallas grants calendar and processes.
  • Complete ongoing prospect research to identify local funding opportunities.
  • Lead donor engagement and cultivation activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the local operating and philanthropic context.
  • Develop effective partnerships with the Senior Leadership Team and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional fundraising experience with a superior record of achievement.
  • Experience in youth development, human services, and/or K-12 education sectors preferred.
  • Experience engaging and partnering with Dallas area funders and community-based organizations preferred.
  • Solid understanding of comprehensive fundraising programs.
  • Experience working with volunteers to leverage fundraising efforts.
  • Superior writing skills with the ability to produce written material such as grant proposals and organizational reports.
  • Proven experience in building relationships and effectively working across teams in a hybrid office environment.
