About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in preparing the monthly Reporting package: reconcile actuals, compute variances, and support commentary explaining what changed and why.
- Build and maintain standardised reporting templates for department heads and Board decks, ensuring data consistency and reducing manual rebuild time.
- Monitor core subscription financial metrics on a recurring basis such as revenue, gross margin, retention and flag anomalies or trends for review.
- Support the driver-based planning and forecasting cycle by inputting departmental assumptions, tracking changes, and flagging inconsistencies between plan inputs and actuals.
- Gather and organize data from department stakeholders as part of the annual planning cycle, including budget submissions, headcount requests, and cost centre inputs.
- Support go-to-market economics analyses by preparing data inputs and maintaining model structures as directed.
- Own the end-to-end data consolidation process, collecting, validating, and reconciling financial and operational data from Accounting, RevOps, and BI systems to support monthly close, reporting, and rolling forecasts.
- Maintain and update core financial models including revenue build, headcount planning, and OPEX trackers ensuring version control, auditability, and structural integrity.
- Document model assumptions, data sources, and process workflows to ensure knowledge continuity within the function.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a quantitative field.
- 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related finance role.
- Advanced Excel proficiency: able to build, audit, and maintain structured multi-tab financial models with dynamic formulas and disciplined version control.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) as a productivity layer including structured prompting for financial analysis, commentary drafting, and data interpretation, with the ability to integrate AI-generated outputs into Excel-based workflows.
- Intellectual curiosity about how subscription software businesses work and a desire to understand the metrics, not just calculate them.
- Demonstrated ability to handle data carefully, identify anomalies, and produce accurate, reconciled outputs with rigorous attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English to be able to summarise findings plainly for non-finance stakeholders.
- Structured, organized work style with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and flag blockers proactively.
- Prior exposure to a B2B software or high-growth technology company, and/or familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) or accounting systems such as Xero, is a plus but not required.
