About the role
- Lead end-to-end product design for the Investor Applications team, from discovery to production
- Influence product design strategy by analyzing and synthesizing customer needs
- Conduct user research to deepen understanding of user personas and discover high-value opportunities
- Create interactive prototypes and high-fidelity artifacts that engineering can deliver
- Plan and conduct usability tests and iterate on solutions rapidly
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and data/research analysts
- Own projects from start to finish and champion the value of user research and design
- Lead a complex design overhaul to help institutional investors rapidly take action on alternative data and insights
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, ideally within the financial services space
- Understanding of financial markets and the workflows of institutional buy-side participants
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Excellent user research skills and the ability to translate research findings into tangible design solutions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- AI tools usage (Nice to have)
