About the role
- Lead end-to-end product design from discovery to production, including research proposals, information architecture, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity artifacts
- Influence product design strategy by analyzing, consolidating, and synthesizing customer needs
- Conduct user research to deepen understanding of user personas and discover opportunities to solve customer problems
- Plan and conduct prototyping and usability testing; iteratively improve the user experience
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to create user-centric solutions
- Own projects from start to finish and champion the value of user research and design
- Support the Investor Applications team enabling institutional investors to rapidly take action on YipitData's alternative data and research insights
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, ideally within the financial services space
- Understanding of financial markets and the workflows of institutional buy-side participants
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Excellent user research skills and the ability to translate research findings into tangible design solutions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- AI tools usage (Nice to have)
- Must be able to work East Coast hours
