About the role

  • YipitData is a market research and analytics firm analyzing billions of alternative data points for investment and enterprise customers
  • Join the Infrastructure & Tools team to build AWS cloud infrastructure and developer tools
  • Provide standard architectures that are reliable, scalable, and secure and robust infrastructure abstractions through an internal PaaS
  • Provide guidance on application development, deployment, reliability, scalability, and security
  • Contribute to cloud infrastructure platform, CDK constructs, CI/CD pipelines, and Python libraries used by engineering teams
  • Experiment with new technologies (R&D) and incorporate them into systems
  • Create tools and processes to increase engineering efficiency and support engineering team initiatives
  • Standard IST working hours with 2-3 days per week joining meetings with US and LatAm between 2:30 - 10:30pm IST

Requirements

  • 3+ years of coding in Python as your primary language
  • 2+ years of experience with Django
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS (CloudFormation, EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, SQS, VPC, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch); comfortable with AWS CLI and boto3
  • 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, preferably managing Infrastructure and deployments
  • Comfortable working with new cloud technologies and learning new skills
  • Understand that AI can improve workflow from coding to automating tasks
  • Nice to have: Terraform, CDK/CDKTF, Databricks, Datadog, Airflow, ElastiSearch, React
