About the role
- Own data strategy and execution for a portfolio of high-impact investor-focused data products
- Operate as a player-coach: deliver analytical work while managing and coaching a team of data analysts
- Work with massive amounts of data, learn proprietary methods to ensure data accuracy and derive insights
- Tackle complex data problems, optimize methodologies, and test new datasets
- Drive standardization, simplification, and improvements to data pipelines and workflows
- Partner cross-functionally with Research and Engineering to increase customer value and optimize processes
- Report to Head of Data and split time between ownership of analysis and guiding the team
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, forecasting, or business intelligence
- 1-2 years in a management or lead capacity
- 3+ years working with SQL, Python, Pyspark or other programming languages to explore and transform large, complex datasets
- Proficiency with GitHub
- Familiarity with Databricks
- Strong communication and stakeholder/project management skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to approach complex problems logically and implement scalable solutions
- Strong ownership and entrepreneurial mentality
- Preferred: experience in or alongside capital markets, investment research, or financial services
- Candidates must not currently or in the future require visa sponsorship
