About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete preparatory tasks and engage in remote work before the camp start date.
- Supervision: Ensure and maintain student discipline, welfare, safety, and security.
- Stakeholder relations: Manage relationships with clients and seek feedback.
- HR: Update staff handbooks, train the team, plan and oversee the arrival, check-in, and check-out processes.
- Administration: Maintain all handbooks and manuals.
- Arrivals/Departures: Manage arrivals and departures to ensure smooth operations.
- Financial: Keep petty cash ledger and manage secure financial information.
- Executive: Conduct daily meetings and monitor the work of management team members.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Required management experience in an ESL summer camp, preferably as a Summer Camp Director.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire others.
- Effective people management skills.
- High level of responsibility and authority.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Independence and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service ethics.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a positive, constructive demeanor in clients’ presence even when problems and emergencies arise.
- Wholehearted dedication to a short-term yet intensive program.
