About the role

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and expand market share.
  • Analyze market trends, identify business opportunities, and create sales plans.
  • Work within the sales team to execute strategies and meet sales targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance, making adjustments as needed.
  • Acquire new business and partnerships, including prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating contracts.
  • Identify target clients and segments, and generate new partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reports and ensure partner success.
  • Negotiate business terms with technology partners and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive new business revenues from financial institutions and affinity markets.
  • Build product offerings to meet client needs and conduct regular reviews with senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in Business Development or senior sales roles working in a global context.
  • Previous work experience in Africa (Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, Botswana, and Benin).
  • Extensive experience in full-cycle B2B sales, including prospecting and closing deals.
  • Strong ability to interact with executives and make strategic decisions.
  • In-depth understanding of the FinTech or Cryptocurrency space.
  • Experience with B2B sales processes, client management, and distribution channel management.
  • Proven track record in selling API integrations & Treasury solutions and business development in the FinTech industry.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and build strong client relationships.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting reports to senior management.
  • Strong leadership, attention to detail, and team management skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and across different time zones.
