About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and operate security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR, etc.) to identify alerts and potential threats.
- Support analysis and investigation of security incidents, following defined incident response (IR) procedures.
- Assist in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing security solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, and corporate antivirus.
- Perform vulnerability analyses and support patch management, escalating risks when necessary.
- Contribute to the creation and updating of playbooks and security operational procedures.
- Interact with IT, infrastructure, and development teams to support security initiatives.
- Collaborate on security awareness activities for employees.
- Assist in meeting compliance requirements, such as LGPD (Brazilian Data Protection Law), ISO 27001, and other applicable standards.
- Produce operational reports and support the consolidation of security metrics.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience working in areas related to cybersecurity or information security.
- Experience with log analysis, endpoint security, alert identification, and basic incident investigation.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
- Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls) and operating systems (Windows and/or Linux).
- Good communication skills, ability to work in a team, and strong organizational skills.
- Technical reading proficiency in English.
