About the role

  • Act as the owner of the vision, strategy and roadmap for the data products under your governance, ensuring alignment with business objectives;
  • Translate corporate and strategic needs into clear, prioritized and actionable requirements for the data teams;
  • Define and evolve data contracts, success metrics, SLAs and quality criteria for data products;
  • Ensure data products follow governance, information security, privacy and compliance best practices throughout their lifecycle;
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Security, Legal and business stakeholders;
  • Prioritize the backlog, facilitate refinement sessions and support technical decisions with a focus on impact, value and feasibility;
  • Monitor adoption, usage and the value delivered by data products, driving continuous improvements;
  • Serve as the focal point for communication, alignment and escalation of risks, dependencies and impediments related to data products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or a related field;
  • Solid experience as a Data Product Owner, Product Owner or in an equivalent role;
  • Ability to define requirements for data quality, observability, reliability and governance;
  • Experience with large-scale data ingestion, transformation and provisioning processes;
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) applied to data teams;
  • Experience managing backlogs, defining OKRs, setting product metrics and tracking outcomes;
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, version control (Git) and DevOps best practices in the context of data products;
  • Strong analytical skills, clear communication and a business- and value-oriented mindset.
