About the role

  • Direct management of a multidisciplinary team (Engineers, Data Scientists and Analysts), providing technical mentorship and career development;
  • Platform strategy (Databricks): evolve and manage our Lakehouse, ensuring performance, cost optimization and engineering best practices;
  • Governance and quality: implement privacy policies, data lineage, catalogs (Unity Catalog) and ensure compliance with LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law);
  • Data Science & Machine Learning: oversee the lifecycle of traditional models (propensity, churn, LTV) and ensure scalable deployment (MLOps);
  • Innovation with GenAI: lead exploration of Large Language Models (LLMs), frameworks such as LangChain/LlamaIndex and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications to address business problems;
  • Act as a bridge between business needs and technology, prioritizing the roadmap based on ROI and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field;
  • Proven experience in leadership roles or managing data teams;
  • Strong command of the Databricks ecosystem (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows);
  • Solid knowledge of Data Governance and Lakehouse architecture;
  • Technical background in Data Science (Statistics, Python, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.);
  • Practical or strategic experience with Generative AI projects and integrating foundation models;
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
