About the role
- Own the business strategy and performance for Yara’s Micronutrient and biostimulent portfolio
- Develop strategies to grow our micronutrient and biostimulent business, using insight in NA agriculture to expand existing markets and develop new markets for Yara’s portfolio
- Collaborate to drive implementation excellence with all stakeholders, especially sales, product marketing and supply chain co-workers
- Align global and regional expectations with local realities to create accurate forecasts and growth plans
- Product Management & Portfolio Business Strategy
- Product & portfolio mix: Own decision-making to maximize short and long-term portfolio efficiency and profitability

- Assist in managing overall portfolio margin to meet business expectations
- Collaborate with agronomy, product, and supply chain teams to ensure product fit and availability
- Brand Management – Communications – Demand Generation
- Development of sales materials: sales sheets and/or battle cards
- Create an integrated communications plan and annual campaign which employs an appropriate level and mix of demand generation activities, which may include advertising, public relations, media relations, digital, social, and more, for both short- and long-term product and portfolio growth
- Develop/approve brand strategy and messaging for assigned product lines
- Pricing & Program Development
- Alignment with Product Management to set YaraVita/Amplix prices across all regions
- Establish programs which reward and leverage strategic and beneficial customer actions: i.e. volume, loyalty, early order, cross-sell, sales finance, portfolio and whole company product sales
- Coordination with sale enablement internally and/or externally (AgVend, for example)
- Lead the process of communicating all programs internally and support externally, either in person or via marketing materials or both
- Integration & Activation
- Work closely with sales and Field Marketing to activate marketing plans in the field
- Educate, lead, and motivate key local activation and integration experts
- Decisions must be grounded in local realities and market environments across diverse regions in Canada and the US – must be connected and understand local agronomic considerations
- Take feedback from sales to develop products, a portfolio and supporting materials that generate impact and motivate internal and external audiences to think and behave differently (i.e. purchase or purchase more)
- Deliver the following results: Clear strategic direction that drives portfolio growth and margin
- Strong brand identity, consistency, and recognition in the market
- Programs and campaigns that increase demand and support the sales force
- Field-ready programs that align with customer needs and sales objectives
- Optimized product offerings and profitability over time
- Internal alignment and execution excellence across the product lifecycle
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product management, portfolio strategy, or B2B marketing within agricultural inputs
- Bachelor's Degree in a Marketing related field
- Experience managing a P&L with knowledge of ag retail marketing and creating demand through sales programs is preferred
- Prior experience working in field sales and/or managing customer relationships is preferred
- Ability to synthesize market, customer, and agronomic data into commercial strategy: Base level of retail, grower, consumer, and farmer understanding of buying habits – what motivates purchase and satisfaction
- Must combine previous knowledge with ongoing education to be an expert in both the applicable product line and Yara’s local agronomic regions across North America
- Strong business acumen and understanding of crop nutrition markets and dynamics
- Deep familiarity with product categories such as nitrates, micronutrients, or biostimulants
- Skilled in brand development, pricing, and value proposition creation
- Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills, both strategic and tactical
- Analytical ability: Use knowledge, data, and collaboration to correctly identify opportunities and risks, and to make decisions that maximize market opportunity
- Ability to meet the following metrics: Portfolio revenue growth and gross margin performance
- Brand awareness and positioning metrics
- Sales team engagement and program adoption
- Product mix optimization and contribution to company objectives
- Timely execution of campaigns, launches, and market support initiatives
- Ability to travel, up to 30%.
