Talent Acquisition, HR Specialist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage full-cycle recruiting — from intake and sourcing through interview, offer, and close — across a portfolio of active requisitions.
- Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies (job boards, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and talent communities) to build diverse, qualified candidate pipelines.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, calibrate candidate profiles, and guide them through an efficient, consistent hiring process.
- Recruit for hard-to-fill, business-critical, and rural/remote positions, applying creative strategies to reach passive and hard-to-source talent.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current openings and anticipated workforce needs.
- Own and continuously improve the recruiting process, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and a positive, professional candidate experience at every stage.
- Maintain accurate, timely data in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and report on key recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, pipeline health, and source effectiveness.
- Represent and strengthen the Yanmar employer brand, supporting talent attraction and employer branding initiatives.
- Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable employment laws and company policies across U.S. and Canadian markets.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding and orientation, partnering with hiring managers and HR to ensure a smooth first-day and ramp-up experience.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, supporting data integrity, routine reporting, and audits.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions on HR policies, benefits, and processes, escalating to HR leadership as appropriate.
- Support benefits administration activities, including enrollments, life-event changes, and general employee inquiries.
- Assist with HR programs and projects such as performance review cycles, employee engagement initiatives, and training coordination. Help maintain HR compliance and documentation (e.g., I-9s, employment records) across U.S. and Canadian markets, and support offboarding logistics.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success sourcing and filling hard-to-fill and rural/remote roles.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards).
- Strong stakeholder management and hiring-manager partnership skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Working knowledge of core HR functions (onboarding, HRIS/records, benefits, and compliance), with the versatility to support both recruiting and general HR activities.
- Familiarity with U.S. and Canadian employment practices, with sound judgment in handling confidential employee information.
