About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create, organize, maintain, and reuse documentation assets
Conduct task analysis and prepare annotated topic lists
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts across global regions
Develop reusable, structured technical content aligned with Xylem’s authoring guidelines
Produce and maintain illustrations, graphics, and photo-realistic renderings
Ensure completion of the review cycle and software-assisted checks for grammar, style, and terminology
Communicate release updates to stakeholders
Maintain reusable content and contribute to documentation standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Aeronautical, Computer Science, or equivalent field)
3–6 years of professional experience as a Technical Writer (Senior level) in an international, English-language environment
Proven expertise in developing reusable technical documentation using structured or unstructured authoring approaches
Basic experience creating technical illustrations in vector or raster formats
Experience documenting software, hardware, or custom-engineered solutions
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Familiarity with Simplified Technical English (STE) and style guides such as the Microsoft or Chicago Manual of Style.
Understanding of DDLC, SDLC, and Agile workflows.
Knowledge of single sourcing, metadata management, and conditional profiling.
