Key responsibilities & impact

Provide pre-sales technical support during feasibility, design, and tender stages to outside sales, distributors, and consulting engineers.
Assist Engineering Team in assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs.
Work closely with internal colleagues, subject matter experts, and technical resources to review tender documents.
Provide essential support to the sales team in quotation creation process for engineered projects.
Contribute as a technical consultant in efforts to prepare and review project bid package.
Provide product and application expertise, design support, and technical drawing support.
Work closely with Engineering Team to prepare and review technical submittals on time and follow up with customers for approval.
Address questions from customers on the drawings submitted.
Work in collaboration with third-party vendors to ensure customer requirements are fully met.
Support project managers in providing technical solutions to customers and Engineers.
Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience required
2-4+ years of relevant experience.
Engineer-in-training (EIT)
Ability to use consistent business processes to achieve desired results, including ability to react appropriately and timely to changing business needs.
Willingness and ability to always provide superior customer service.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Effective interpersonal skills with customers, coworkers, and management
Strong teamwork and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
