About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently manage complex tender processes and prepare technical and commercial proposals
  • Calculate project costs in the areas of water transport, pipeline and plant construction
  • Analyze, evaluate and review tender documentation and prepare bills of quantities (BoQ) and scopes of work
  • Prepare and submit complete tender documents on time
  • Develop technical alternatives and commercially advantageous special proposals
  • Prepare budgets, cost estimates and robust price structures
  • Obtain, evaluate and negotiate subcontractor quotations in close coordination with project management
  • Prepare and participate in award and contract negotiations
  • Advise engineering firms, contractors and end clients on technical and commercial issues
  • Liaise closely with internal specialist departments to ensure optimal project costing
  • Contribute to project handovers and ensure a smooth transition into the execution phase
  • Provide project-related field support on site as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in engineering (e.g., civil engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering) or comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in bid preparation, cost calculation or tendering for infrastructure or plant construction projects
  • Solid knowledge in water transport (e.g., pumps, pipeline systems)
  • Experience in civil, plant or pipeline construction
  • Confident handling of tender documents, bills of quantities and technical specifications
  • Experience collaborating with engineering firms, contractors and end clients
  • Strong understanding of technical and commercial relationships and pronounced cost awareness
  • Negotiation-level German and good English skills
  • Structured, analytical and independent working style
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident manner when dealing with clients
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, set priorities and meet deadlines reliably
  • Solution-oriented thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • High initiative and ability to work in a team
