About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead sustaining engineering tasks including engineering change requests, drawing updates, and processing documentation.
- Drive VA/VE initiatives to achieve cost savings, material optimization, and performance improvements.
- Support and contribute to New Product Development (NPD) and technology upgrade projects — early concept design through manufacturing release.
- Develop detailed 3D/2D CAD models, GD&T drawings, tolerance stack-ups, BoMs, and related manufacturing documentation.
- Conduct DFMEA, DFM, DFA, prototype validation support, and technical reviews.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement and Global Design Centers.
- Ensure adherence to global engineering standards, compliance, and configuration management practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-Year bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university.
- 0 - 3 years’ relevant experience in product design, sustaining engineering, and VA/VE projects.
- Expertise in any CAD Software (solid modelling, detailing, surfacing, GD&T). (Preferred- Autodesk Inventor)
- Know-how of manufacturing processes — casting, machining, injection molding, surface coating
