About the role
- Provide an important role in supporting selling activities and the execution of customer focused processes for Xylem products and the sales team within the EMEA region
- Ensures that all same day/priority customer requests are handled by collaborating with appropriate intercompany resources such as the order management team, production team, purchasing and the credit team, and as necessary
- Ensures orders are processed on time in follow up with order management team and works proactively to resolve delays as needed
- Acts as a liaison between Sales and other functions to resolve and escalate issues preventing meeting on-time delivery of commitments to our customers
- Support the Sales team while out of office (holidays, business) and cover as needed such as generating opportunities for new RFQ’s, Generating quotes and updating CRM
- Manage Leads on CRM and make sure new leads are assigned correctly to the right team member
- Manage CRM bookings based on the financial Daily report received on daily basis, while following up with order management team to make sure in house orders are booked and executed
- Support Sales Leader in Forecast management and execution
- Manage the new customer form process to register new customers
- This will include supporting running compliance screening for new customers
- Contributes to a culture of outstanding customer service by ensuring customer interests are at the heart of the work being performed
- Support Sales Leader and EMEA Sales process team in managing the revenue tracker to ensure ready orders are shipped
- Supports the sales team to reach monthly/quarterly sales commitments
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Sales Leader
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in related discipline and/or equivalent experience preferred
- Junior or entry level sales professional
- Preferable +2 years of sales experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience with manufacturing environments is preferable
- Ability to forge strong relationships with customers and partners
- Understanding of the financial drivers behind orders and revenue
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle from leads to fulfilling orders
- Ability to understand a product’s bill of materials
- Water industry experience is preferred
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-tradition environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to always maintain a professional demeanor
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with SAP, or with another ERP software
- Experience with CRM Dynamics or similar CRM systems.
