About the role

  • Lead interdisciplinary project teams composed of R&D, product management, purchasing, supply chain, quality management, customer service, service/maintenance, production planning, assembly, etc.
  • Lead the development of the technical project/product definition together with the product manager
  • Develop and document the conceptual solutions for development tasks and, where applicable, prepare developer specification documents; schedule and cost planning
  • Provide technical and process support to members of internal and external R&D project teams in an international environment
  • Perform comprehensive project management (coordination of all activities, monitoring progress), including reporting, implementing countermeasures for deviations from plan, and leading project teams
  • Manage product introductions into manufacturing and repair operations, and conduct training
  • Provide technical product ownership for assigned product lines throughout the entire product lifecycle, e.g., handling manufacturing, procurement and quality issues; execute tasks and projects in the area of value engineering
  • Conduct technology monitoring (observe, evaluate and identify technologies relevant to the technical environment of the product lines under your responsibility)

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering or comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • In-depth knowledge of project management and technical leadership of interdisciplinary project teams
  • Advantageous: experience in measurement technology and/or optical devices
  • Strong, structured and organized working style with analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility and assertiveness
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
