The Global Project Manager (GPM) for Procure-to-Pay (P2P) is a strategic, hands-on leadership role responsible for managing and delivering complex, cross-functional finance operations projects across global business units.
Lead the full project lifecycle for P2P transformation and optimization initiatives — from initiation through closure
Facilitate the definition of project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in partnership with key stakeholders
Develop and maintain integrated project plans, ensuring proactive management of scope, schedules, risks, issues, and interdependencies
Manage complex projects across multiple regions, time zones, and business cultures
Ensure alignment of local operational requirements with global process standards, enabling regional flexibility where appropriate without compromising global consistency
Coordinate effectively across functional, regional, technical, and operational teams to ensure project cohesion and issue resolution
Own project financials, including budget development, forecasting and tracking
Monitor actual vs. planned financials and resource utilization, taking corrective actions as needed
Collaborates with dedicated Change Management and Communications teams to integrate change management activities into the project plan
Proactively identify project risks, issues and interdependencies
Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and project objectives
Establish and maintain project governance framework, including steering committees and regular status reporting
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
5+ years of progressive project management experience , with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-regional projects in a matrixed, global organization
Demonstrated experience leading projects involving Procure-to-Pay (P2P) , Source-to-Pay, or broader finance operations transformation initiatives
Strong knowledge of P2P processes, controls, and operational best practices , with an understanding of how local requirements interface with global process standards
Proven ability to manage projects across multiple regions, time zones, and business cultures , with cultural sensitivity and agility.
Solid financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and resource plans
Hands-on experience using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, or equivalent) for planning, tracking, and reporting
Experience working with and managing third-party vendors, consultants, or service providers
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization , including executive sponsors and regional leadership
Excellent risk, issue, and dependency management capabilities, with a structured approach to problem-solving
Familiarity with organizational change management principles and demonstrated ability to support operational readiness activities.
