About the role
- responsible for start-up and commissioning of projects
- preventative maintenance
- basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites
- interact with customers
- evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
- basic troubleshooting of electrical control panels
- assist with start-ups and emergency callouts
- operating and maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggers
- operating industrial equipment in a shop environment
- accurate record keeping inside Xylem’s work order management system
- create and maintain a safe and organized working environment
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent
- 0 to 2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred
- Electrically and mechanically inclined
- Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
- Comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly
- Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices
