  • We’re currently seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join our growing team.
  • **Responsibilities**
  • - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • - Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • - Manage cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and bank accounts
  • - Coordinate external audits and act as the primary contact for auditors and tax advisors
  • - Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls
  • - Optimize accounting systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and scalability
  • - Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
  • - Oversee payroll and employee benefits for approximately 40 employees through Nethris
  • - Ensure payroll compliance with Canadian labor laws and tax requirements
  • - Administer group benefits, retirement savings plans, and leave policies
  • - Support new employee onboarding from an administrative and payroll perspective
  • - Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online
  • - Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
  • - Generate ad hoc financial reports as required
  • - Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • - Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as needed

Requirements

  • - Minimum 5 years of experience managing the complete accounting cycle
  • - Strong proficiency with accounting systems like QuickBooks Online
  • - Solid experience with Canadian payroll and tax compliance
  • - Demonstrate a collaborative attitude.
  • - Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • - Share a passion and flexibility to learn new tools and skills.
  • - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • - Bilingual English and French.
  • - College diploma in Accounting (Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance considered an asset)
