About the role

  • As a Sales Development Representative (SDR/BDR), you will take ownership of proactive lead generation, pipeline development, and conducting initial customer presentations with drive and independence.
  • Build and maintain your own lead pipeline through structured outbound activities (email, phone, LinkedIn, video).
  • Research and target primarily technical decision-makers (e.g., CISOs, IT managers) at enterprise organizations.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads using structured discovery (e.g., BANT).
  • Independently deliver initial remote product presentations for qualified leads.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare handovers, and pass qualified opportunities to the responsible sales team for follow-up meetings and more complex or later-stage deals.
  • Design, build and continuously optimize BD and sales campaigns (e.g., multi-touch outbound sequences, topic-driven campaigns, account-based approaches) in close coordination with Marketing and Sales.
  • Evaluate, select and implement appropriate sales tools (e.g., for prospecting, intent signals, data enrichment, sequencing) to continuously improve efficiency, quality and scalability in Business Development.
  • Actively contribute to and continuously improve our BD/SDR processes, playbooks and best practices—from initial idea through testing to implementation.
  • Maintain all activities and contacts accurately in the CRM (HubSpot) and provide meaningful reporting of your pipeline and KPIs.
  • Represent xorlab at events and webinars, online and offline.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in outbound sales (BDR/SDR/Inside Sales) in the B2B software, IT or cybersecurity sector.
  • Proven track record in lead generation, meeting scheduling and ideally delivering initial product presentations to enterprise accounts.
  • Strong conceptual thinking, structured working style and enjoyment in designing, testing and continuously improving BD structures, campaigns and playbooks.
  • Experience using—and ideally evaluating/implementing—modern sales tools (e.g., CRM, sales engagement, sales intelligence, data providers).
  • Strong interest in IT security and a solid technical understanding to engage competently with CISOs, IT managers and other primarily technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills across all channels—written, phone, in remote presentations and in-person.
  • Self-organized, structured work style with a high degree of personal responsibility and ownership.
  • German fluent (spoken and written), English business fluent/negotiation-ready.
Benefits
  • A key role in scaling an established, successful cybersecurity provider in the DACH region.
  • Significant scope to shape and develop our Business Development function and direct impact on sales success.
  • Personal training budget and modern sales tools to continually increase your effectiveness.
  • Flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths and a closely collaborating team across Sales, Marketing and Customer Success.
  • Hybrid working model with flexibility and an international, committed team.
  • Attractive compensation package with base salary and bonus.
  • An open company culture where having fun is also valued.
