Join our team as a Senior Financial Accountant, where you’ll lead valuable accounting functions and support broader general ledger accuracy through strong month-end close execution, analysis, and collaboration. Primary Accounting Functions Journal Entries and Accruals – Prepare and post recurring and ad hoc journal entries, ensuring accuracy, appropriate documentation, and alignment with company policy and accounting standards. Account Reconciliations – Own and maintain assigned balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of variances and strong supporting documentation. Review and provide feedback on reconciliations prepared by staff accountants, helping ensure consistency and adherence to internal standards. Close Activities – Lead assigned responsibilities during the monthly close cycle, including ledger updates, schedule preparation, variance analysis, and coordination with stakeholders to meet internal deadlines. Analytical Support – Analyze account activity and trends to flag irregularities, recommend corrections, and support variance explanations for internal and external reporting. Compliance and Controls – Maintain a clear audit trail for all assigned work, support internal and external audit requests, and contribute to process documentation General Team Functions Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary documentation, clarify variances, and improve reconciliation processes. Process Optimization: Recommend and support initiatives to improve accuracy, efficiency, and automation of expense-related accounting workflows. Mentor, train, and coach staff accountants or other colleagues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate GL or close-cycle environment Strong foundation in accounting principles with demonstrated critical thinking and attention to detail Ability to evaluate accounting issues beyond surface-level data and apply sound judgment in resolving discrepancies Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar), with strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools Proven ability to manage recurring tasks and deadlines within a structured close calendar Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work independently while seeking clarity when needed Comfortable adapting to evolving processes, changing priorities, and growing responsibilities over time
