About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Train alongside Field Service Engineers at customer site visits, including installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs
- Assist with troubleshooting technical issues related to flow cytometry instrumentation
- Learn and follow service procedures, technical memos, safety standards, and documentation requirements, along with how to use Salesforce and prepare a Field Service Report
- Communicate product quality observations or service concerns to appropriate team members
- Work closely with Field Service, Sales, and Field Applications teams
- Support customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely follow-up
- Assist with maintaining service parts and inventory organization, completing expense reports in a timely manner and entering hours into your timesheet on a weekly basis
- Develop understanding of flow cytometry systems, including optics, fluidics, electronics, and pneumatics
- Travel to customer sites as required within the assigned region
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recent college graduates within the past 6 months
- Must hold a 2-year Associate degree or 4-year Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Degree should be in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline
- Interest in field service, laboratory instrumentation, medical devices, biotechnology, or life science equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer focus and professional communication skills
- Highly organized with good follow-up skills
- Self-motivated team player with a willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of flow cytometry or related scientific disciplines is a plus
- Computer skills required, including typing, email, and basic software use
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own or have access to a reliable vehicle
- Must hold a valid U.S. passport for potential travel to Canada
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to travel, including overnight travel, as needed
- Flexibility with schedule and ability to adapt to last-minute changes
