About the role
- Provide sustainment and development support services to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
- Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas
- Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts
- Translates detailed design into computer software
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and refines the computer software
- Prepares required documentation
- Enhances software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency
- Provides technical directions to programmers
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology related field
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience
- Expert experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities
- Experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS
- Knowledge of computer equipment
- Ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives
- Experience with Oracle/Java-based system and cloud environments
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
- Must possess an active DOD Secret Clearance.
