Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute sourcing category, supplier, and risk management strategies aligned with business stakeholder priorities
  • Lead cross-functional business and Supply Chain teams to drive project and category outcomes
  • Plan and lead competitive sourcing events using an enterprise-wide approach
  • Develop negotiation strategies and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers
  • Lead supplier performance, relationship, and development activities
  • Develop and execute contracts with key suppliers
  • Develop enterprise-wide category strategies to optimize cost and improve operations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align business demands, category and contract strategy, and execution
  • Perform spend and cost analysis, including total cost of ownership and should-cost models
  • Research suppliers and develop risk profiles while monitoring industry information, external factors, and trends
  • Implement optimal inventory strategies with logistics personnel
  • Develop supplier scorecards and monitor, document, and evaluate supplier performance
  • Lead supplier dispute resolution and contractor claims to resolution
  • Review, analyze, verify, and negotiate contract changes and additional work orders
  • Monitor compliance across buying channels, suppliers, and contract purchasing execution
  • Ensure suppliers comply with contract terms and meet commitments
  • Develop and communicate contract summary and implementation plans
  • Develop risk management strategies and administer category contract agreements with Legal and Security
  • Create and manage project plans to implement category strategies
  • Integrate sourcing and business project plans with business leadership
  • Manage Supply Chain, business, and supplier continuous improvement efforts
  • Lead change management efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, business, or related technical/analytical field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Five years of supply chain experience focused on sourcing
  • Three years of contract formation knowledge and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Significant experience with purchasing and sourcing systems
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Ability to attend meetings in various locations
  • Up to 20% travel
  • Driver's license required
  • CPSM or other supply chain certification preferred
  • Negotiation and project management skills preferred
  • Previous experience in plant operations involving combustion and steam turbines preferred
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders, align competing priorities across business units and locations, and drive unified sourcing strategies
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
