About the role
- Work with our project lead engineers designing and managing capital projects throughout the Energy Supply SPS fleet
- Coordinate with plant personnel to develop the project Scope of Work
- Determine technical specifications, evaluate vendor bids
- Generate budget and schedule estimates
- Oversee installation/commissioning/startup tasks
- Complete drawing and technical document reviews/updates
- Lead small capital projects at power plants
- Develop scopes of work for capital projects
- Perform engineering analysis on assigned capital projects
- Develop schedules and budgets for capital projects
- Communicate technical details to vendors and other business units
Requirements
- Current student, Junior or Senior status (as of May 2025)
- Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program, studying areas such as electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering
- Able to commute to Harrington/Nichols Station and 790 Buchanan in Amarillo, TX- Hybrid schedule
- The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer and 15-20 hrs./wk. during a school semester
- Ex. 3.0 GPA (out of a 4.0 scale) or higher
- Completed 2 years of undergraduate coursework, including classes a ABET accredited engineering program
- Experience or Proficiency with data analytics tools.
