About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform the tracking, reporting and analysis of financial information, including financial reporting, budget and forecast creation, and variance analysis.
- Assist with collecting and analyzing financial data in order to perform budget development, variance reporting for supported areas, preparing internal and external reports, and identifying data issues.
- Analyze financial data to identify adverse trends and recommend solutions to mitigate financial impact.
- Provide timely and accurate assistance to clients within supported business area, including the interpretation of account codes or financial reports, providing project status reports, and work order resolution.
- Assist with financial analysis and support the budget managers for the annual budget process, as well as modeling, analysis and financial support for current year and five-year forecasting.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related business degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Completion of finance or accounting internship preferred.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications required.
- Minimum 2 years experience in general financial accounting or analysis for Financial Analyst II.
- CPA, CMA or MBA preferred for Financial Analyst II.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Demonstrated skills in analysis, problem solving, customer service, and relationship building desired.
