About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for managing transport customer information in the software system including nominations, scheduling, confirmations, allocations, imbalance management, and contract administration
- Troubleshoots and resolves gas scheduling problems and customer issues
- Provides accurate and effective guidance to team members
- Perform problem recognition, troubleshooting and resolution capabilities for both customer issues and the scheduling software system
- Guide internal and external stakeholders with all aspects of the gas transportation process including nominations, imbalance resolution, billing inquiries, prior period adjustments or any other potential scheduling system issues that may arise
- Perform daily, weekly, or monthly special project duties
- Complete contract, location, and business contact set up in the software system
- Review and monitor imbalances with other interconnecting pipelines for accuracy and reconcile differences
- Complete pipeline closing and reporting duties
- Train customers and internal users on basic functions of the scheduling software system
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 5 years of Gas Scheduling or related experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines efficiently and accurately
- Understand contractual rights and types of service as defined by the tariffs
- Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that include but are not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Be flexible and respond effectively to changing schedules, priorities, and other urgent situations
- Ability to recognize business opportunities from shipper scheduling patterns and how to turn them into revenue opportunities
- Demonstrated understanding of how pipeline operations impact scheduling
- Ability to train new schedulers and contribute to ongoing development of the team
- Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities simultaneously
