About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Directs the development, deployment, and maintenance of the One Xcel Energy Way Operating System within the CETS business area.
- Lead and facilitate the Integrated Product Portfolio and Technology Governance processes for CETS.
- Provides leadership and/or oversight on large/transformational projects and initiatives, and partners with other functions to improve current processes and implement new processes.
- Leads key and critical projects on behalf of the area and serves as a liaison and represents organization with key business partners.
- Enhance performance of the business area by evaluating scorecard results and verifying that action plans are established and executed.
- Drive for completion of transformational objectives and ensure that the performance governance business tools are maintained as a valuable resource.
- Communicate performance results to improve understanding of strategic objectives of business area.
- Provide direction and oversight on transformational projects and initiatives for the business area or function.
- Lead the establishment and execution of plans, including oversight of resource planning and ensuring that any resulting new processes or procedures are developed and implemented.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
- Effectively demonstrate collaborative leadership in a matrixed organization.
- Oversee the design and implementation of change management strategies and plans.
- Lead business planning efforts, to include the creation of operating plans, baselines, and performance management considerations for the business area or function.
- Support the budget and forecasting process.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline and/or a combination of education and relevant work experience providing equivalent knowledge.
- At least 10 years related experience.
- Utility industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in strategy and planning development.
- Demonstrated experience in business and operational performance measures and scorecards.
- Experience in successfully managing projects and budgets.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in projects, change management and must be able to influence without direct authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to meet business and financial objectives.
