About the role
- Overseeing and executing the detailed design and calculations for rolled steel and tapered tubular steel structures.
- Creating and maintaining design, procurement, and construction standards for civil and structural substation components.
- Coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines, construction teams, project management, and supply chain partners.
- Providing technical oversight and guidance to both internal engineers and external engineering teams.
- Responsible for (and may lead) multiple projects of moderate to large size or portions of major projects.
Requirements
- Required bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited curriculum, civil or structural engineering degree preferred.
- 0+ years relevant engineering experience
- Ability to demonstrate the unique technical skills and core competencies for this engineering level established & documented by the organization.
- Preferred EIT/FE (Engineer in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering) preferred.
- 2+ years relevant engineering experience for Staff Engineer Level
- Demonstrated broad knowledge & proficiency in specialty area, knowledge of related specialties, & general knowledge of other related disciplines for Staff Engineer Level
- 5+ years relevant engineering experience for Senior Engineer Level with EIT/FE required; 7+ years relevant engineering experience without EIT/FE.
- 9+ years relevant engineering experience for Principal Engineer with PE (Professional Engineer) registration required; 15+ years relevant engineering experience without PE
