About the role
- Position at Xcel Energy located in Lubbock, Pampa, or Seminole, TX, on a hybrid (3 days in the office per week) schedule
- Entry: develop technical expertise, limited-scope engineering work, may lead small-medium non-critical projects, field oversight under supervision
- Staff: independently determines and develops approaches, supports development of technical documentation, may lead small-medium non-critical projects, provide work direction to others
- Senior: applies extensive technical expertise, leads multiple projects, represents organization as prime technical contact, develops new/improved techniques and procedures
- Essential responsibilities include technical documentation, procedure development, field engineering oversight, project coordination, bidding/evaluation support, communication across organizations, mentoring, budgeting/estimating/forecasting support
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from ABET accredited curriculum (or recognized equivalency)
- EIT/FE (Engineer in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering) preferred (Entry); EIT/FE strongly preferred (Staff); EIT/FE required or 7+ years without (Senior)
- 0+ years relevant engineering experience (Entry)
- 2+ years relevant engineering experience (Staff)
- 5+ years relevant engineering experience with EIT/FE, or 7+ years without (Senior)
- Ability to demonstrate unique technical skills and core competencies for this engineering level
- Preferred PE (Professional Engineer) registration may be required depending on business need
- Preferred Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
